Car and other stuff

I fixed my car on Friday night. Apparently the rough idling, crappy acceleration, and check engine light were not a result of a dirty carburetor/fuel injector. After two bottles of the crap that's supposed to clean those parts, the car was still acting funky, so on Tuesday I had a mechanic hook it up to a computer and found out that cylinder 4 wasn't firing properly for some reason...

It's been a few days days and $130 in parts later and I've replaced the Cyl 4 spark plug, the coil cap, and the cable running from the coil cap to cyl 4. That seems to have fixed the problem and my car is now fun to drive again. Yay!

Crystaviel (you know, my girlfriend) is having her 5th annual Gothbeque on Sunday, September 4th (the day before Labor Day) all the way out in LI. Been watching a lot of Samurai Champloo lately and, I must say, it's pretty damn good! The action mixes really well with the hip hop sound track.

Hmm... What else? Friday night I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (along with the rest of the world). It was really good... But, I think I liked Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka better.

Last night I saw the Fantastic Four movie which was also pretty good. My only complaint was the Thing. Frickin' Invisible Girl was taller than him in most of the shots!!!!! What? The budget was so out of control that they couldn't afford a pair of platform boots for him?

Last night's Rocky was ok. My performance was totally off, so by the time TW was over, I was in complete cut up mode. I guess the audiance enjoyed it, so that's good anyway. Three more shows until I'm done performing with the HoH. I thought I'd feel a bit more conflicted than I am about leaving... Weird.

There's a thing I want to do with my character for our upcoming Beach Night, but I'm not entirely sure if I have the time/spare funds to pull it off. Does anyone happen to have a wooden raft lying around they could lend me for a night? Even an inflatable one would probably do (like one of those little yellow inflatable row boats, not an inner tube).

I guess that's enough random shite to come spilling out of my head for now...
